Meltham & Meltham Mills Band
Meltham and Meltham Mills Band is currently a 1st section band based in the beautiful village of Meltham near Holmfirth in West Yorkshire.
The band was established as a brass band in 1846 and once was the most famous band in the world!
Conducted by Tom Haslam who has been with band since 2018.
Rehearsals are Monday and Thursday 19.45 to 21.30.

Meltham Community Brass
This group is for both adults and children who already play a brass instrument. If you are looking to join a band for a better understanding of playing in a band then please come along and meet us.
Sessions are free of charge and a brass instrument will also be supplied on loan free of charge. The only thing we ask is you regularly attend lessons and rehearsals.
The band meets every Tuesday from 18.00 to 19.00 at the band room to rehearse with their conductor John Turner.

Meltham Junior Blast & The Brass Roots Project
We started our beginner group back in January 2021 and now have over 25 players.
This group is an opportunity for 7-17 year olds to learn to read music and play a brass instrument. We are offering this totally free and instruments can be provided. Tuition by Tom Haslam, Musical Director of the Meltham & Meltham Mills Band.
Rehearse at the band room Tuesdays 16.30 to 17.30.
The Brass Root Project takes place in Meltham School with the children having access to lessons with Paula Spittlehouse, the Principal Cornet with Meltham & Meltham Mills Band.
