🎶 What a fantastic afternoon at the 2025 Travellers Rest March & Hymn Tune Contest! 🎶
Today, both Meltham Band and Meltham Community Band took part in the Traveller’s Rest March and Hymn Tune Contest — and what a day it’s been!
Both bands played brilliantly, with Meltham Band proudly taking home the award for Best 1st Section Band not in the main prizes, and our amazing Community Band earning Best 4th/Unregistered Band.
We couldn’t be prouder of our Community Band, which included many children who played their very first notes in our band room. Their performance was truly heartwarming, earning the biggest cheer of the day – and even a few tears from those watching. 💙
